Inter-Changeables

The Inter-Changeables, by toy company Hour Toy, were a line of figures and ships based on Mego’s Micronaut molds that succeeded Mego’s toy line after the company declared bankruptcy. Most of the Inter-Changeables line are brightly colored variations of the Mego toys with different names (usually beginning with “Cosmo.”) The same toy often came in several color variations and in different packaging, see the C.I.R.E.S. (aka Giant Acroyear) as a good example. Hour Toy, despite using the same molds, generally used inferior plastics that give the Inter-Changeables a rather cheap feel. There were many fewer Inter-Changeables made than Micronauts, making them highly sought after in the Micro collecting community.
