When the peaceful planet Jillucian is conquered by the nefarious Gavanas Empire, the Jilucians send out glowing acorns to search the galaxy for heroes who can free their world from evil!

Back in the 70s, after Star Wars, Message From Space was one of my absolute favorite sci-fi movies. I loved all the different ships and heroes. Since it wasn’t a big movie in the U.S., there weren’t a whole lot of tie ins to the film, and certainly no toys.

But lucky kids in Japan got a whole line of ships and figures that they could get to re-play their favorite scenes. I’d have begged my parents for this if I’d known about them.

If only they’d made magic glowing acorns…
